It’s been a great Summer for TV syncs of my music on new shows so far! Here are a few highlights;
September has been a great month for placements, not to mention eclectic. It’s lovely to have had my music feature on both ‘Cook and Share with Mary Berry’, and ‘All Elite AEW Wrestling: Rampage’ (!)
Very pleased to have two new albums out this month; Carefree Summer published by Reliable Source Music, and Guitar Ambience published by No Sheet Music.
Fresh off the press is a new album I’ve made for Felt Music, ‘Mallet Tension Beds’.
It’s the first album I’ve done for Felt for quite some time. They were the first library I started working with almost a decade ago, so it’s been nice to get back in touch and work with them again. The album is pretty much what it says on the tin; mallet instruments (marimbas, glocks, celestes etc) with an assortment of guitars, percussion and synths. All very driving and upbeat in various ways; some moody and serious, others more light-hearted.
It’s been busier than ever these past few months (how the hell is it nearly April, for crying out loud?). I’ve been beavering away in the studio recording / mixing various things and have had a few new releases come out since I last posted one of these. They are;
Organic Electronica, published by No Sheet Music
Tangents 2, published by J W Media Music (a follow up album to 2018’s first Tangents album)
Atmospheric Tension, published by No Sheet Music
Glad to say that a few tracks from Organic Electronica have been proving popular on the BBC and other broadcasters, with All Neurons Firing being placed in various BBC News segments (like Click) and also on CBS News in New York. Elegant Symmetry has been used on a recent episode of Countryfile, too.
Meanwhile I’ve been fortunate enough to have tracks placed on Dispatches (Channel 4), The Voice of Finland (Nelonen), The Hairy Bikers’ Chocolate Challenge (Channel 5), Deadly 60 (BBC1), Warship: Life at Sea (Channel 5) and Blue Peter (CBBC).
As ever, tonnes of new stuff in the works and some very exciting non-library work to share soon too. Watch this space!
Rich
It’s been a busy and productive Summer, and here’s a new album for No Sheet Music (my third for them this year so far); Classical Remix.
The title is probably self explanatory, but it’s a collection of electronic reinterpretations of (extremely) well known classical pieces. Canon in D, Claire de Lune and other earworm melodies from the ages. Really had a lot of fun putting this one together, not done anything like it before. For the most part, these are very different from the original pieces, just using the notes as a basis really (instead of just putting a house beat underneath a load of MIDI strings or whatnot.)
Anyway here’s the album
Many more album projects in the works; either in actuality or as concepts in my head. Watch this space!
This month sees the release of 2 new albums.
Firstly, Percussive Underscores on No Sheet Music.
This is an album based around marimbas, celestes, glockenspiels and similar instruments but fleshed out with all manner of guitars, synths, strings and percussion. Perfect for anything where a bit of light tension is needed!
The second is an album of bright, summery guitar indie called Guitar Sunrise for which I contributed 6 tracks, for Reliable Source Music.
Really pleased to share this new album I wrote over the latter part of the Winter, for JW Media Music; Cinematic Guitars. Title is self-explanatory really!
Very pleased to share another new album, released today on JW Media Music.
“Lift, an album of bright and emotive indie rock. Dreamy and building with anthemic endings, this album has everything for productions that wish to pack a punch.”
Had a lot of fun making this one. Any excuse to dig out a load of guitar pedals!
